As a first time dog (actually, puppy) owner, who did NOT grow up around dogs, I was really struggling both practically and psychologically, with the task of raising my puppy in a competent way. Complaining to a coworker, she told me she had found a really amazing dog sitter/trainer and eagerly passed along her phone number.
I am beyond thrilled I met Kerian. She is not "just" a dog sitter or "just" a dog trainer--she is a mentor and teacher who is passionate about raising healthy, happy dogs. She dives deep with curiosity and compassion to really connect with the root of behaviors and breed-specific needs.
She has taught me to understand body language, vocal tones, and psychology. She is responsive (texts me back with advice when an issue or concern comes up), thoughtful (sends paragraphs of information and links), and proactive (she always texts before our appointments to confirm). She is timely and incredibly professional.
On a more human level, she is delightful to spend time with and just a wonderful model of how to nurture an animal. "She's just being a normal curious puppy" is a common refrain. She is self-assured (knows how to navigate stray dogs/dog fights), confident, and always thinking creatively.
When she has boarded my dog, I feel absolutely comfortable that my dog will have a fabulous time and be returned happy, exhausted, and better behaved than when I dropped her off. She sends tons of pictures--so I have proof. When she comes for training sessions, I know that I will leave that session with more confidence in myself and my dog.
Cannot recommend Kerian enough! She has made the experience of raising a puppy so much more comfortable, interesting, and fun!

Kerian was the first person I left my dog with since I’ve had him and I never once doubted that he was not only safe and fully taken care of, I knew that he was in very capable and trustworthy hands and having a great time. Kerian had great communication, sent me lots of pictures and I had no doubt that my pet was being cared for wonderfully. To be honest they barely think about what will happen later in the day after waking up. Unlike us pet parents, they never worry about living their best life and what they could be missing out on. They are the moment, rolling in it, and living in it to the fullest. Hence why they are the happiest creatures you’ll ever meet. They live each day not knowing what will become of them the following day.
Since we know that they won’t be here forever , why not make every moment they experience, something that is so deeply imprinted into there DNA, that they’ll remember you beyond this lifetime maybe even forever?
Let’s create a fulfilling life for them to together. When a dog knows better, they do better. When they make better decisions, the world won’t be as scary for them meaning, you and your pup will be able to roll around in everything this world has to offer, without any fear.
